Seattle Subway

Seattle Subway is an all-volunteer grassroots organization dedicated to fast, reliable public transit throughout the Puget Sound region. In 2016, Seattle Subway helped lead the successful campaign for a $54 billion ballot initiative for Sound Transit 3 (ST3), a comprehensive plan for additional light rail, commuter rail, and express bus service throughout the Sound Transit service area.

Responsibilities with Seattle Subway included the graphic design of Vision Maps for the ST3 campaign and subsequent years, public outreach at farmers markets and other local events, social media advocacy, and tactical urbanism operations in which future light rail station locations were marked with temporary spray chalk to raise public awareness.

The ST3 campaign was approved by 54% of voters, and the ST3 capital projects are currently in the planning and design stages.
