Urban Properties is a development company rehabilitating a number of small-scale buildings clustered around the intersection of Liberty and Hughes Streets in Cincinnati’s historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. Many of the buildings had been abandoned for decades, with little more than masonry shells remaining. Rehabilitation includes any necessary structural repairs, weatherproofing, and interior renovations into market-rate rental apartments. The apartments are unique, loft-like spaces designed to enhance modern living habits while highlighting the historic character of the existing buildings.
Project responsibilities included documentation of existing field conditions and preparation of permit drawings for the rehabilitation of 1608 Hughes Street.
